Cationorm® uses a revolutionary new technology to simultaneously deliver water and lipid particles, both important for tear replacement, to the surface of the eye.

Most artificial tears only moisten and lubricate, but do not restore the lipid layer of the tear film, which is responsible for reducing tear film evaporation. In contrast, Cationorm® replaces all three layers of the tear film, including the lipid layer. This reduces tear film evaporation, quickly and permanently relieving the symptoms of dry eyes.

The microscopic nanoparticles in Cationorm® have a lipid core surrounded by a surfactant coat, preventing the lipid particles from precipitating out of the eye drops. This is why Cationorm® does not cause blurred vision after instillation.

Cationorm® does not contain preservatives, so it does not cause irritation and can also be used on contact lenses. It can be stored for three months after opening.
